BATTERY
Question - Why check my car battery ?
Answer - Your car battery is the only power source used for getting your car started and faulty batteries are one of the main reasons for breakdown calls in the UK. Using a digital display, your battery check will provide a clear indication as to the condition of the battery in a digital display. So, if you have any concerns regarding the condition or health of your car battery then we recommend you have the battery and charging system checked as soon as possible.
TYRES
Question - What is the legal limit for tyres ?
Answer - The legal limit for minimum depth of the tread on your tyres is 1.6 millimetres, across the central ¾ of the tread around the complete circumference of the tyre. A regular check of your tyres can help you to avoid 3 penalty points and £2,500 in fines (per tyre) for having tyres worn beyond the legal minimum limit on your vehicle.
AIR CONDITIONING
Question - What is an air con recharge ?
Answer - A car air conditioning system will lose approximately 10% of its refrigerant every year, on average. Recharging the air con means replacing this lost refrigerant. It's sometimes known as an air con 'regas'.
Question - How often should I have an air conditioning recharge?
Answer - In most cases, manufacturers recommend you service your vehicle air conditioning every two years. This varies from car to car, however, so check your manual if you're not sure.
Question - What's included in the Car Air Conditioning Service cost?
Answer - In most cases, manufacturers recommend you service your vehicle air conditioning every two years. This varies from car to car, however, so check your manual if you're not sure.
Question - Does the car air conditioning recharge service include air con repair?
Answer - No. If your system needs anything repaired, such as leaks and failed components, you'll need to have these fixed separately. Our technicians will check over the system as part of the air con service and advise you upfront of any repairs that are necessary, and what these will cost.x
